To implement the “Opinions of the Ministry of Education and Eight Other Departments on Accelerating and Expanding the Opening-up of Education in the New Era” and the “14th Five-Year Development Plan of Changzhou College of Information Technology”, and to improve the international teaching level of our college’s teachers and the quality of international student training, the 2024 International Student Teaching Competition was held on June 6 in Room A108 of the Teaching Building.
The competition adopted a format combining “teaching design presentation” and “live teaching demonstration”, attracting teachers from 6 academic departments, including the School of Electronic Engineering, to participate. Leveraging the learning characteristics of international students, the participating teachers flexibly applied teaching methods such as heuristic teaching and case-based instruction, integrating knowledge points into real-life teaching scenarios to deepen students’ understanding and facilitate knowledge internalization. Among them, courses taught by Yang Kai, Jiang Cong, and Gu Yijia stood out in the university-level competition. The three teachers will represent our college in the 2024 Jiangsu Province International Student Teaching Observation Competition (Preliminary Round).
Our college attaches great importance to the development of curricula and faculty for international students, adopting the philosophy of “promoting teaching through competitions and driving overall progress with key initiatives”. It has built a platform for instructors to share, exchange, and learn teaching concepts, methods, and techniques, which is of significant importance for advancing the high-quality development of the university’s educational opening-up and establishing the “Study at Changzhou College of Information Technology” brand for international education.
