From January 15 to 17, a 9-member Thai education delegation led by ManussanunRatriwang, Principal of Udon Thani Vocational College, and Mr. Zhang Qifu, Educator of the Office of Vocational Education Commissionof Thailand’s Ministry of Education, visited our college. Cheng Jianhua, Secretary of the Party Committee, Xu Jianjun, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and President, Tao Dawei, Member of the Party Committee and Vice President, and leaders from relevant functional departments and second-level colleges held talks with the delegation.
Cheng Jianhua delivered a welcome speech, stating that our college attaches great importance to and has long maintained cooperation with Thai universities. The construction of the China - Thailand “Zheng He College” has achieved fruitful results. He hoped that the colleges would deepen the cooperation and exchange mechanism for common development and cultivate more outstanding talents for both countries.
ManussanunRatriwangexpressed in her speech that the China - Thailand “Zheng He College” project provides Thai students with a good opportunity to learn new knowledge, new technologies, and new cultures, setting a demonstration role for Thai universities in participating in international education. She looked forward to both sides deepening cooperation and improving the vocational education cooperation model.
Xu Jianjun introduced the China - Thailand cooperation situation, stating that our college will strengthen international educational cooperation with Thai colleges to jointly cultivate more applied talents and friendship envoys with an international vision, the spirit of mass entrepreneurship and innovation, and a combination of professional theory and practical skills.
Tao Dawei presided over the meeting, noting that China - Thailand friendly exchanges have a long history, with the two countries being geographically adjacent, ethnically connected, and culturally interlinked. The cooperation between our college and several Thai colleges has become a true portrayal of the close China - Thailand friendship.
During the visit, the Thai delegation held talks with Thai international students studying on campus to learn about their study and life in Changzhou. They also discussed the “1+2” joint training program for the Department of Digital Media Design with the School of Digital Creative, and visited Changzhou Xingyu Automotive Lighting System Co., Ltd. and Jiangsu Guangxian Information System Co., Ltd. for research on industry-education integration.
The China - Thailand “Zheng He College” is jointly built by our college and three Thai vocational colleges: Chonburi Technical College, Udon Thani Vocational College, and Detudom Technical College. The college will continue to promote the construction of this high-quality platform around international vocational qualification certification standards, international talents training, and vocational education country studies, thereby writing a new chapter in China-Thailand vocational education cooperation.
