In the afternoon of December 2^nd, in order to improve the management of international students and promote the high-quality development of international education, the School of Overseas Education invited Zhang Haijun, dean of the  International School of Hohai University, vice chairman and secretary general of the Jiangsu Provincial International Education Management Association, to give a lecture on " Elevating the position and innovative measures to advance the high-quality development of international education”. The deputy deans of the relevant secondary colleges, relevant personnel from the International, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Affairs Office, the School of Overseas Education and all the teachers in charge of international students listened to the lecture.

Zhang Haijun elaborated on the ability and quality needed in the management of international students from macro policy guidance to organizational structure management and to case analysis. He talked about the remote management of international students, online teaching, emergency response, etc., under the epidemic. He encouraged international student management personnel to carry out work in an all-around way and reflect on the management of international students. The secondary colleges should actively participate in the work, coordinating with all school departments, to jointly promote international development. In the on-site interactive session, Dean Zhang gave detailed explanations one by one on how to carry out various modular management of international student management, how to carry out online teaching management, and how to effectively deal with emergencies of international students, and communicated to relevant teachers.
