The School of Overseas Education held a 2021 New Year Celebration for international students on December 25th. All the faculty members of the International Affairs Office, School of Overseas Education, international students, teachers in charge of international students and foreign teachers gathered together to welcome the arrival of the new year.
Wang Hongkai, deputy dean of the School of Overseas Education, delivered a New Year's congratulatory speech on behalf of the College. He expressed his gratitude to the cooperation and hard work of the teachers of the College over the past year, and sent festival greetings to the students. He expressed wishes to all international students a successful school life in the New Year, and hoped that the journey in CCIT would be a shining spot in their life.
After the speech, Ma Jun, a Congolese student, sang the song of The World Means Nothing To me Without You as the relaxed and cheerful music began, marking the beginning of the performance for the New Year's Celebration. Students from various countries took turns to bring wonderful performances and games to everyone during the two-hour show. Highlights of the event such as ancient poetry recitation, cross-talk, riddles, and the chopsticks game have warmed up the atmosphere again and again with applause rang through the hall.
The entire celebration conveyed friendship and harmony, expressed gratitude and blessings, looked forward to the future and hope, demonstrated the exchanges and integration of different cultures, and reflected the school's achievements in the education and management of international students and the dissemination of excellent Chinese culture.
