Issuedate:2021-01-15  Visits:

On January 14th, 2021, the School of Overseas Education held an online meeting with the South African Training Agency in Conference Room 212 of the Administration Building. The Quality Assurance Department of the South African Industry and Manufacturing Training Agency, the South African Chinese Culture and International Education Exchange Center, the relevant personnel of the School of Overseas Education and some student representatives participated in the meeting.

Wang Hongkai (who was in charge of the work), deputy dean of the School of Overseas Education, gave a brief introduction to the project at the meeting. He said that the project had progressed steadily so far and the courses, internships, and life of 37 students had been highly valued and properly arranged by the school.

Naphtaly Mokgotsane, senior director of the Quality Assurance Department of the Training Agency, said that our school had cooperated with the South African Industry and Manufacturing Training Agency to create the first internship training program for international students since 2017. Many South African students joined the program which cultivated many technicians and skilled workers for South Africa by improving technical skills among the students after three years of development. I would like to express my gratitude to our school for the work of the past three years.

At the same time, Naphtaly Mokgotsane and Lu Zhilei, director of the South African Chinese Culture and International Education Exchange Center, communicated with the student representatives at the meeting and expressed their regret that they could not come to China to visit the students in person due to the epidemic. Naphtaly Mokgotsane and Lu Zhilei hoped that the students would cherish the rest of the time with the project, acquire skills and gain experience, so that they can use the skills and techniques learned in CCIT to find desired jobs and promote people-to-people and cultural exchanges between China and South Africa after returning to South Africa.
