Our college holds closing ceremony of the internship program for South African students of the class of 2021

Our school held the closing ceremony of the internship program for South African students of the class of 2021 and the signing ceremony of the off-campus training base for international students in METTLER TOLEDO (Changzhou) in the afternoon of May 11th. 37 South African students were awarded certificates of completion.

Du Kewei, director of China Center for International People-to-People Exchange of the Ministry of Education, Zhang Xueren, director of the General Office, Sima Shuanglong, deputy director of the Foreign Affairs Office of the Changzhou Municipal Government, Tang Liang, Chinese PO president of METTLER TOLEDO, Chen Songtao, domestic general representative of the South African Secretariat of the China & Africa (South Africa) Technical and Vocational Education Cooperation Alliance attended the event. Principal Sui Bixia, Vice Principal Tao Dawei, business representatives and heads of relevant college departments attended the event.

"Friendship, which derives from close contact between the people, holds the key to sound state-to-state relations," Du Kewei said in his speech. He hoped that South African students would integrate their dreams into the cause of promoting friendly exchanges and cooperation between China and South Africa, and play an active role in promoting the people-to-people bonds and friendship between the two peoples.

Sui Bixia delivered a speech to congratulate the successful completion of the internship program for South African students. She hoped that the students keep in mind their responsibilities, better serve their motherland and promote the friendship between China and South Africa with confidence, inclusiveness, self-discipline and morality.

Sima Shuanglong, Tang Liang and Chen Songtao delivered speeches respectively, sending their sincere wishes and expectations to the South African students.

Our college and enterprise leaders represented the training units respectively and issued certificates of completion and enterprise internship certificates to the South African students. Speaking on behalf of South African students, Suzan reviewed her study and life in Changzhou, shared her feelings, and expressed gratitude to the school teachers and corporate mentors for their hard work. Representatives of international students presented flowers to the head teachers and corporate mentors at the site to express their gratitude after the speech.

Sui Bixia, principal of our school, and Tang Liang, Chinese PO president of METTLER TOLEDO, jointly signed the cooperation agreement on the off-campus training base for international students and inaugurated its establishment. In the future, the two sides will focus on the goal of jointly cultivating applied talents with both good professional quality and strong professional and technical skills, actively promote the internship and employment of international students, and play an active role in promoting cultural exchanges with other countries.
