Little New Year, usually a week before the Chinese New Year, falls on January 15 this year.To welcome the Chinese New Year, over 40 international students from Thailand and Malaysia who stayed on campus during the winter vacation, led by teachers from theSchool of Overseas Education, participated in a dumpling-making activity on the third floor of the school cafeteria. President Sui Bixia, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee Fei Yunsheng, Vice Presidents Fei Xiaoping and Tao Dawei, and teachers from relevant functional departments and second-level colleges attended the event.

Under the guidance of cafeteria chefs and teachers, the international students gradually mastered dumpling-making techniques, transforming their initially “varied-shaped” dumplings into final “curved ingot-shaped” ones. Zhong Mingjin, a Malaysian student from the School of Digital Creative, even creatively shaped dumplings into flower forms, making them round “dumpling flowers” (dumplings shaped like flowers).

During the activity, Sui Bixia and Tao Dawei extended New Year wishes to the students. After learning about their study and life experiences at the school and winter vacation arrangements, they encouraged the students to study hard, enjoy life in Changzhou, and serve as friendly envoys for cultural exchanges between China and foreign countries. The internationalstudents expressed gratitude for the care and support from the CCIT (Changzhou College of Information Technology)family.

As the Spring Festival approaches, the strong festive atmosphere grows. Through activities like hanging lanterns, pasting couplets, and making dumplings, international students at our school fully experience Chinese New Year traditions, deepening their understanding of Chinese culture. Our school will continue to guide international students to positively spread Chinese stories and cultivate international talents who know, friend, and love China.
