Report title: From edge computing to edge intelligence

With the development of deep learning technology and the popularization of intelligent terminal equipment, the combination of artificial intelligence and the Internet of Things has become an inevitable trend, and more and more intelligent Internet of Things (AIOT) application scenarios have emerged. Existing computing models cannot meet the requirements of high-precision and low-latency AIOT applications. Therefore, it is necessary to design a new computing framework and related optimization mechanisms to achieve real-time and efficient execution of AIOT applications. This report mainly introduces the concepts of edge computing and edge intelligence by analyzing the existing deep learning acceleration mechanism and application deployment mode, and discusses the edge intelligent computing framework and related execution optimization technologies.

Brief introduction of the reporter:

Dongfang, Ph.D., Young Distinguished Professor and Doctoral Supervisor of Southeast University. He is currently the director of the Big Data Computing Center of Southeast University and the deputy director of the Department of Computer Engineering of the School of Computer Science and Engineering. At the same time, he is the co-chairman of ACM Nanjing Branch, the secretary-general of the Cloud Computing Expert Committee of ACM SIGCOMM China and ACM China Council, a member of the Big Data Expert Committee of Jiangsu Computer Society and a member of the Cloud Computing Special Committee. His main research direction is cloud computing and big data processing. . As the project leader, he presided over 1 major project of Science and Technology Innovation 2030 and the National Key R&D Program, 3 projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and 1 prospective joint research project of industry-university-research in Jiangsu Province, and participated in the completion of the key projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China as a core member Project, national scientific and technological research plan and many other national-level projects.
