On the afternoon of November 21, the “Chinese Speech Contest for International Students of Changzhou College of Information Technology”, one of the college-level student vocational skill competition projects, was grandly held in Room 403 of the Administrative Building. After fierce competition, Lin Tingsheng and Che Meicheng won the first prize, while Fei Ya, Ma Zhanghong, and Mu Zhencheng won the second prize, and Lin Chengmin, Zhang Chicheng, Gu Wenjun, Lai Wenxuan, and Li Junjia won the third prize.
Before the university-level competition, class-level contests had been held in all international student classes, with 20 international students from countries such as Thailand, South Korea, and Malaysia standing out in the class contests and qualifying for the university-level competition. The theme of this competition focused on what international students have seen, heard, felt, and thought in China, aiming to showcase their understanding of Chinese culture and their love for Chinese learning through the form of Chinese speeches. The speeches were rich and colorful, with each contestant telling their personal experiences and mental journeys of studying in China from a unique perspective and with profound insights.
During their speeches, the contestants displayed fluent Chinese and accurate pronunciation, with their emotionally charged deliveries winning rounds of applause from the judges and audience present. They not only expressed deep interest in Chinese culture but also demonstrated a persistent pursuit of Chinese language learning and friendly feelings toward China. The genuine outpouring of these emotions not only made everyone present feel the international students’ enthusiasm and dedication but also deepened their understanding and appreciation of Chinese culture.
The successful holding of the competition not only provided international students with a stage to showcase their Chinese language proficiency but also served as a platform for cultural exchange. Through such activities, international students can better integrate into Chinese society while promoting communication and mutual understanding between different cultures.
