The China Education Association for International Exchange held the first online training meeting for the quality accreditation of higher vocational education for international students on September 29th. This accreditation project was launched for the first time in Jiangsu Province as a pilot. The Jiangsu Education Department and the Jiangsu Education Association for International Exchange selected 8 colleges and universities for the accreditation, including our school. The school leaders attach great importance to this training meeting. Wang Junming, secretary of the Party Committee of the school, participated in the training meeting as a certified technical expert. Tao Dawei, member of the Party Committee and vice principle, and the deans and department heads of relevant secondary colleges attended the training meeting.
At the training meeting, An Yan, Deputy Secretary General of China Education Association for International Exchange, and Ma Xingnian, Vice President and Deputy Secretary General of Jiangsu Education Association for International Exchange delivered speeches. Liu Xiao from Department of International Cooperation and Exchanges analyzed the trend and background of accreditation for international students, the necessity of accreditation and suggestions in the work of accreditation. Shi Yunyu, Deputy Director of Foreign Cooperation and Exchange Division, Jiangsu Education Department, talked about the overall situation of international students in Jiangsu province and the relevant policies and measures introduced. Zhang Xuxiang, former secretary of Party Committe of Nanjing Vocational College of Information Technology, elaborated on the Education Quality Accreditation System of Higher Vocational Colleges for International Students. Zhao Ye, deputy director of the Education Accreditation Department of China Association for International Exchange, introduced the quality accreditation projects and accreditation rules. Shijiazhuang Tiedao University shared the experience of quality accreditation with Bai Zili, director of Innovation Research Institute. They believe that through continuously accreditation, the quality of international student training programs will be improved, so as to better serve the national diplomatic strategy.
After the online meeting, the school leaders once again stressed the importance of quality accreditation for international students and proposed to solidly promote self-evaluation and self-improvement according to the latest indicator system.
